Why was my account liquidated?

Your account may have preset auto-liquidation levels (communicated during onboarding) that trigger when:

  1. Your balance falls below the specified dollar amount or percentage during trading
  2. You don't meet overnight margin requirements by 3:45 PM CST/4:45 PM EST. These safeguards prevent your account from going negative. 

Important Notes:

  • We recommend closing all day trading positions by 3:45 PM CST/4:45 PM EDT (this is 15 minutes before close)
  • For overnight positions, maintain sufficient balance to cover initial margin requirements
  • Positions may be liquidated if you don't meet overnight margin requirements
